  • bus/coach transport services booked through us (together, our “Services”).

(See our frequently asked questions for general help.)

By creating an account, making a booking, or using our Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.

1. Definitions

  • We / TravelMaster / Travel Master / the company: TravelMaster, Skibbereen, County Cork, Ireland.
  • You / the hirer: any person we agree to carry and/or who makes a reservation or purchases a seat.
  • Passenger: a person agreed to be carried, identified by Confirmation of Travel and Payment.
  • Luggage: personal property accompanying you on your trip.
  • Services: our website, mobile apps, booking facilities, and transport we provide or arrange.
  • Ticket: booking confirmation and right to travel (electronic or other form we issue).

2. Personal data

You recognise that personal data is given to us for bus transport and related administration. You authorise us to retain and use such data, transmit it to our offices, and include your name on passenger listings where required. Marketing use requires your prior permission where consent is required.

Full details are in our Privacy Policy, including GPS location, push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and Stripe payments.

3. Changes to these Terms

TravelMaster may change these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Updated Terms are published on our website and apply from the date stated. Material changes may be communicated via the app, website, or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance, except where further consent is required by law.

4. Use of the website and mobile app

4.1 Account and access

  • An account may be required. Registration uses phone number and OTP verification (plus name, email, county, etc.).
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for account activity and device security.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or for fraud prevention.

4.2 Acceptable use

You must not:

  • misuse the app or website (unauthorised access, interfering with systems, scraping);
  • use the Services unlawfully; or
  • impersonate others or book on false pretences.

4.3 Electronic tickets

Tickets may be delivered electronically (app, email, or account). Present valid confirmation at boarding. See Travel Info for practical requirements.

4.4 Intellectual property

Travelmaster.ie, the Travel Master app, and their content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit our content or software except to use the Services normally. Other use requires our prior written consent.

5. Payments

  • Payment in full is required at booking unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • Payments via website or app are processed by Stripe. Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Purchases are for real-world transport services, not digital content via Apple/Google billing (see Section 22).
  • No responsibility for cash sent by post or unofficial payment methods.

6. Pricing policy

  • No booking until payment — booking is not confirmed until payment succeeds.
  • Offers subject to availability; prices may change before confirmation.

7. Period for which your ticket is valid

Your Ticket covers the journeys and services stated for the event and route booked.

8. Carriage of children and young persons

  • Children aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult; purchase tickets together to guarantee seats.
  • Child fares are not guaranteed; promotional fares may be offered at our discretion.
  • Persons over 24 months require their own seat and applicable fare unless a promotion applies.

Services are not directed at children under 16 without adult involvement.

9. Concessionary travel scheme

We are not part of a Free Travel Scheme and do not accept the Department of Social Protection Free Travel Pass.

10. Refunds (voluntary cancellation by you)

No-quibble refund on tickets cancelled up to 7 days before the event, subject to a 10% cancellation fee per ticket.

Email [email protected] with your booking reference. After that deadline, fares are non-refundable except under Sections 11–13 or as required by law.

11. Involuntary refunds (our failure to provide service)

If we cancel, fail to operate to schedule, cease a route, or overbook and you reasonably do not travel, you may claim a full refund equal to the fare paid.

To claim:

  1. Contact [email protected] promptly with your booking reference.
  2. Provide reasonable evidence you did not travel (digital booking status or staff confirmation may be used).

Claims within 14 days of scheduled travel unless otherwise agreed.

No compensation for consequential loss beyond the refund, except where non-excludable law requires otherwise.

12. Bereavements

Bereavement of an immediate family member within fourteen days of travel: refund of fare paid minus 10% administration fee per seat, with death certificate, application by proposed travel date.

13. Breakdown and delays

Journey times are estimates. Delays beyond our control: we are not liable for resulting loss or inconvenience, except where non-excludable law applies.

14. Pick-up times

We may change pick-up times up to 24 hours before the event. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you by email, app notification, or SMS.

15. Cancellation by us (insufficient bookings)

We may cancel if there are insufficient bookings. Notice as early as possible, up to 24 hours before departure, via booking contact details. Full refund where we cancel in advance.

16. Cancellation by the artist, promoter, or event organiser

If the event is cancelled, refunds apply except as follows:

  1. Cancelled within 24 hours of origin departure but more than 2 hours before: refund minus €0.00 administration per seat (unless otherwise stated at booking).
  2. Cancelled within 2 hours of origin departure: refund minus €10.00 coach hire and administration per seat.
  3. Cancelled after bus has departed from origin: no refund.

17. Additional services / suppliers

You receive a service organised by Travelmaster Ltd, possibly operated by third-party carriers. We select suppliers with care but are not responsible beyond our legal obligations. By booking you agree to these Terms.

18. Conduct

Misconduct endangering others, obstructing staff, breaching instructions (smoking, alcohol, drugs), or causing harm may result in restraint, disembarkation, refusal of onward travel, or prosecution.

19. Refusal of carriage

We may refuse carriage if notified in writing, or if including:

  • legal/regulatory requirements;
  • safety, health, or comfort of others;
  • hazard from condition, behaviour, or intoxication;
  • prior misconduct; unpaid fare or debt;
  • invalid Ticket or identity mismatch;
  • failure to follow safety instructions; smoking;
  • any other reason in our absolute discretion.

Refusal or removal may cancel unused Ticket with no refund and no liability for consequential loss, except where non-excludable law applies.

20. Luggage

We are not responsible for loss or damage to luggage except where non-excludable law requires. The driver decides what is carried. Notify us in advance of large items.

Baggage may be inspected; under-floor storage may be required. You are liable for damage your luggage causes.

Lost luggage

Reasonable care for found items; disposal after 14 days if unclaimed. We may examine property; perishables/dangerous items may be disposed of within 48 hours. Hand found property to staff.

Liability limits apply to employees and representatives; total recovery shall not exceed our liability.

21. Notices on vehicles

No bill, poster, or notice on a vehicle without our written consent.

21.2 Vehicles facilities

We operate a range of vehicles and cannot guarantee that air conditioning will be available on every service.

22. Third-party platforms (Apple, Google, links)

22.1 App stores

The app may be distributed via Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for our Services, transport, refunds, or content.

Transport tickets are purchased via Stripe, not Apple or Google in-app billing, because you are buying a real-world service.

22.2 External websites

We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from our Services.

23. Advertising

We do not endorse third-party content or advertising on linked websites.

24. Complaints and correspondence

Contact us as soon as possible:

Complaints within 7 days of travel, or 14 days for delay/refund requests, from the date of travel or service use, unless law requires longer.

25. Consumer rights (Ireland / EU)

Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory statutory consumer rights under Irish and EU law, including unfair terms, conformity of services, and transport remedies.

Distance bookings (online or app) may have additional rights. Contact us or the CCPC in Ireland for guidance.

26. Governing law and disputes

Irish law governs these Terms. Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to EU consumer rights to sue in your country of residence where allowed.

27. General

If any provision is invalid, it is severed and the remainder continues in force.
